At Woodland Walkies we understand that people’s pets are all very unique with different personalities. The owner of Woodland Walkies, Kirstie Ann, is fully qualified in dog handling and understanding the behaviour of Dogs.
A walk isn’t just about exercise, it’s also an opportunity for your Dog to satisfy their psychological need to sniff and explore so, as our name reflects, most of our walks are country walks.
Whether in the woods or across the fields we will always make sure your dog gets the opportunity to fulfill their doggy needs.
So your dog feels at ease with meeting us and Bruce our Labrador, during our introduction meeting we suggest that our first walk is taken all together for about 10 minutes, this introduction encourages your dog to feel safe and at ease with the changes.
Some pets and owners are nervous during our first introduction, feeling overwhelmed with walking with other dogs at first, this doesn’t last very long. Dogs are social animals and love to walk in packs, it really does make them happy and encourages positive doggie habits to be outside sniffing away and meeting other K9’s.
